Dr. David “Trecy” Watson


Biography

With strong roots in Greenville, Dr. Watson has made his way back to his hometown to set up his orthodontic practice. After growing up in the Gower area and attending J.L. Mann High School, he attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. There he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology. After graduation, Dr. Watson began his dental education at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he served as the student body president. While in Charleston, he met his wife Kathy, while they were both involved in YoungLife. Upon receiving his Doctorate of Dental Medicine, he headed north to Rochester, New York where he attended the University of Rochester’s Eastman Dental Center. Here, he completed a three-year Temporomandibular Joint Fellowship and served as Chief Resident for the third year, while simultaneously working to receive his Masters of Public Health. Dr. Watson spent his final two years in Rochester completing the Residency Program in Orthodontics. After 13 years of educational training, he is excited to be back in Greenville with his family. Trecy and Kathy have four kids: Madelyn, Katie Beth, Ella, and Bo. In his spare time, Dr. Watson enjoys ultimate frisbee, snowboarding, spending time at the lake, and hanging out with his family.
